Our last day! We had time to spare in the morning as our flight was still in the afternoon, so we went to the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Plaza. Chiang Kai Shek is a former president of Taiwan. It was beautiful. And the weather was beautiful too. I loved it there. Again, excuse some of the camerawhoring. :)

Before we went back to the hotel, we passed by a bakery. Taiwan is known for its yummy pastries, cakes and breads, so we sampled them too. I bought a yummy danish, and a slice of black forest cake. We also bought tea eggs again.the monument

It was time for us to go to the airport. We passed by the Grand Hotel, Taipei. It's supposed to be a tourist spot, it's the grandest (hence the name) hotel in the city. It is also known as The Dragon palace. It was built to accomodate foreign ambassadors who were visiting Taipei. Apparently there are secret passages all throughout the hotel made for Chiang Kai Shek. Boo that we didn't have time to check it out anymore :( Besides, it was too far from where we were staying.
We ate lunch at the Tea House, in the airport. Wonton noodles, siopao and milk tea for me. Then it was time for our flight home.

Chasing pigeons LOL Im seriously afraid of them (as I am of most birds) and I avoid them like hell... A big LOL to that ladies hat in the metro pic...
LOL I didn't even notice the hat! I'm afraid of big birds. Seriously afraid of them. But they seem to like me so much. I got chased by an emu in Australia, and an ostrich in a zoo here. *shudders at the memory*
Ha, I am so scared of birds too, Nandia. We have the biggest Seagulls and Pigeons here, I swear they aim for me *shudder*
Great pictures, Aianna. Love the ones of you jumping in the air :) Taiwan looks beautiful.
Chased by an Emu AND an Ostrich???? Eeeeek!! I would die.
I COULD SOOOOOOO DIE!!I even avoid (harmless) chicken!!Thats how afraid I am..
Yay thank you, Taiwan is indeed beautiful. Full of nature and scenery and also, the weather's lovely.
I hate those huge birds, ugh! I was so terrified when I was chased, ahaha. But a chicken? Come on a chicken is cute! Lol.
Ewwww, seagulls! Sorry, that was a comment to Misty's comment.
Anyway, I love the pics with the pigeons, they made me giggle. And it sounds like such a totally fun holiday. *jealous*
And the pic of you jumping in the air - too cool. I've always wanted to take one of those pics, but I fail.
Oooh such lovely pictures! Places like this are so exotic for me, oooh...
Twin! Hah, as if you didn't go on a fun holiday. I'm totally jealous of yours. *coughValenciacough* Yeah, as if that wasn't fun.
M, I'm never used to people saying that our side of the world is exotic. And no way I'm ever getting used to people saying I'm exotic looking too, haha. Guess I'm just really used to these places.
